Redefining Assessment in the Age of AI challenges traditional concepts of assessment and redefines the term for the era of Generative AI. Participants will reframe their understanding of assessment and consider how best to measure authentic student learning in light of the availability of AI technologies, gaining hands-on experience with practical tools and strategies that capture real-time student performance while limiting cognitive offload.

  • Yes. This workshop requires a foundational understanding of Generative AI. We offer this foundational training in our “Generative AI for Educators” course.

  • We do not promote any specific tools. We can run hands-on activities with the free version of commonly available tools. If you have organization‑approved tools, we’ll tailor activities to use those.

  • We facilitate this workshop both in-person and virtually. The in-person workshop is ~3 hours or one 90-minute virtual session. For the best learning experience, we ask participants to bring a laptop for hands-on activities.
