Translate Text to Emojis with an AI Chatbot
In ChatGPT or your favorite AI Chatbot, have your students cut and paste the following prompt to translate any piece of text into emojis. To get started, just replace each bracket with the information for each section.

Additional Prompting Strategies
Depending on the age of your students, tie this activity into a discussion/lesson about emotions. Ask children to think about how they feel when they meet someone new, and what they like to ask when they have a conversation. Use the chatbot for more help on how to expand this activity into a social-emotional lesson.
Have students work in small groups; each group can ask the chatbot questions around a specific theme, e.g. animals, foods, sports, etc.
After the chatbot has translated students' sentences, print them out and have students try to translate them back into English!
Use emoji-writing for other forms of creative writing such as poetry and short stories
Play emoji charades or emoji pictionary - ask the chatbot for tips!
