GenAI Literacy You Can SEE in Practice

Workshop on Safe, Ethical, and Effective GenAI Use in Educational Settings

For individuals & small teams

For schools & districts

Educators and students are already using AI. Most are doing it without clear understanding of how to do so safely, ethically, or effectively, or in alignment with the goals they have for themselves and their school community.

This workshop is designed for educators and leaders who want to go beyond just talking about AI literacy to deeply understand what the SEE Framework looks like in their community, and build a plan for GenAI literacy across their school or district.

Duration: 3-Hour Workshop Format: In-Person or Virtual

Includes: The SEE Framework: A Practical Guide to Building Generative AI Literacy

Open Enrollment: June 24, 2026 · Virtual · $399/per person

Schools & Districts: Custom scheduling · In-person or virtual

WORKSHOP OUTCOMES

AI literacy is not a one-time training.

This workshop gives educators and leaders the deep understanding and practical tools to know what GenAI literacy looks like in their community and how to build it.

1

You'll understand why GenAI literacy can't wait

Grounded in current research, you'll see why the gap between AI use and AI literacy is growing fast. "We did a training already" isn't enough. You'll leave with the data and framing to make the case in your own community.

2

You'll have a deep, working understanding of the SEE Framework

Not just what it is, but how it works. You'll explore the foundational knowledge every educator and student needs, the five mindsets that shape responsible use, and the practices that bring Safe, Ethical, and Effective together in real decisions.

3

You'll be able to apply SEE to real situations in your context

Using the Framework in Action, you'll practice applying the SEE lenses to the actual dilemmas educators and students face, so you can make better decisions yourself and model that reasoning for others.

4

You'll leave with a plan to build GenAI literacy across your community

GenAI literacy is a community practice. You'll map out what it looks like for students, educators, leaders, and caregivers in your context, and identify concrete next steps to start building it.

THE SEE FRAMEWORK

AI use does not equal AI literacy.

During the workshop, you'll develop a deep, working understanding of the SEE Framework: the knowledge, mindsets, and practices that allow individuals to use GenAI safely, ethically, and effectively. Developed and refined over three years through AI for Education's work with hundreds of schools and education organizations, the SEE Framework is the foundation for everything in this session.

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE

Good decisions about AI start with understanding how these tools actually work, what they're trained on, why they hallucinate, how they handle user data, and where they fall short. Without this foundation, people can't evaluate what they're working with.

TRANSFORMATIVE MINDSETS

Knowing how AI works doesn't automatically shape how people use it. Mindsets are the beliefs and dispositions that translate what you know into how you actually engage with these tools. They determine whether a person stays in the driver's seat, applies healthy skepticism, and grounds their decisions in their own judgment and values.

PURPOSEFUL PRACTICES

Practices are what knowledge and mindsets look like in action. Safe, ethical, and effective practices shift AI use to AI literacy. They include deciding when AI is the right tool, prompting with intention, evaluating what comes back, and maintaining accountability for the final product

ABOUT AI FOR EDUCATION

Trusted by 300+ education partners worldwide

"This workshop gave us a strong foundation to start real conversations with students, educators, and administrators. We've already begun adjusting our approved AI tool list, and the framework is helping us refine our existing policy and guidelines. It surfaced tools we'd never heard of that students were attempting to use, along with some that our teachers had quietly adopted. That kind of visibility is exactly what district leaders need."
