The SEE Framework:
A Practical Guide to Building Generative AI Literacy
Apr. 10, 2026
GenAI is already in classrooms, but most schools still lack a shared language, structured guidance, or a clear path forward for building the AI literacy learners need. Join AI for Education for the launch of the SEE Framework: the first framework purpose-built for generative AI literacy, grounded in research and field-tested with educators and institutions across the country.
In this free webinar we'll walk through the framework in full: what it is, why it's structured the way it is, and how to start using it. Built around three lenses, it gives educators, school leaders, and learning designers the shared language and practical guidance they need to build Safe, Ethical, and Effective GenAI literacy across every age group and learning context.
In this session, we will:
Introduce the SEE Framework, a shared language for GenAI literacy built on three lenses: Safe, Ethical, and Effective — and explain what sets it apart from existing AI literacy frameworks
Explore the knowledge and mindsets that ground the framework, including what every learner needs to understand about how GenAI works, its risks and limitations, and the beliefs that shape responsible use
Walk through the SEE practices for each lens, with reflection questions and real-world scenarios illustrating how the framework applies across K–12, higher education, and adult learning contexts
Share developmental guidance for building GenAI literacy at different age levels from early elementary through adulthood
Highlight resources for putting the framework into practice, including free courses for educators and students, workshop options, and the full downloadable guidebook
Can’t make the time? A recording + resources will be emailed to all registrants.
