Vibe-coding — building software by describing what you want in plain language instead of writing code — is transforming how tools get made. For educators, that means the ability to build interactive resources and classroom tools without a developer, a budget, or a computer science background. This session starts at the beginning and gets you building something real before you leave.

Understand what vibe-coding actually is
Learn what vibe-coding is, why it matters, and what it makes possible for educators who want to build tools for teaching, learning, and school operations. No coding experience required.

Get Start: Build something yourself
We start in Canva, the tool most educators already have access to. Use its “Code for me” feature to build an interactive element or classroom resource, and get comfortable directing a tool with natural language.

Know the limits and the risks
Vibe-coded tools can look polished while hiding real issues. You’ll learn what to watch for around data privacy, accuracy, and security before putting anything in front of students or staff.

Level Up: Build a more complex tool
From there, we move into Lovable to build something more complex from scratch.
